History of the estate:
In 1770 the ponds fed by the Laubach already appear on the first "Ferraris" maps under the name "Des Etangs de Lobbes" (Lobbes Ponds), which were created by the monks who managed the Abbey of Saint Pierre de Lobbes, which was founded in 654 by Saint Landelin, in order to have a permanent supply of water to feed the Abbey and to have a fish pond throughout the year.
